Job Summary

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving new business growth by developing strategic partnerships, leveraging existing networks, and promoting technology financing and “as-a-Service” solutions to UK businesses. The role requires a consultative and solution-focused sales approach, supporting customers in identifying technology solutions that align with their operational and commercial objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and grow a portfolio of new B2B clients.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with technology providers and industry stakeholders.
  • Generate new business opportunities through networking, market engagement, and existing professional relationships.
  • Sell technology financing, leasing, subscription-based, and as-a-Service solutions.
  • Identify and engage prospective clients, including senior decision-makers and key stakeholders.
  • Build, manage, and maintain a qualified sales pipeline.
  • Achieve agreed revenue, margin, and performance targets.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasting and maintain detailed CRM records.
  • Identify cross-border opportunities and promote the organisation’s wider global capabilities.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure successful delivery throughout the sales cycle.

 

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Proven track record in B2B business development and consultative solution selling.
  • Experience selling IT services, digital transformation solutions, technology products, or asset finance/leasing solutions is highly desirable.
  • Strong relationship management and networking capabilities.
  • Experience managing complex, consultative sales processes.
  • Strong commercial and financial understanding, with the ability to structure technology financing solutions.
  • Confidence engaging with C-level executives, senior stakeholders, and decision-makers.
  • Self-driven, commercially focused, and motivated by achieving sales targets.
  • Excellent proposal writing, presentation, negotiation, and forecasting skills.
  • Strong understanding of IT products, digital transformation, and emerging technology solutions.

 

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Business Development professional with a strong track record of delivering sales growth, building strategic relationships, and managing complex solution-based sales opportunities. They will have an established network, a consultative selling approach, and experience within technology services, digital solutions, or technology financing.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong commercial awareness, the ability to engage senior stakeholders, and the capability to consistently exceed targets while developing long-term customer partnerships.
