Overview
Contract opportunity working within the Payments space for a major global platform business. Engineers will work on backend and full-stack development across payment-related systems, as part of a wider technical team.

Core requirements (all candidates)

• Java, Spring Boot, microservices (any recent version)
• SQL/NoSQL databases
• Experience building customer-facing applications
• Backend development and distributed systems background
• Track record of demonstrable project impact, not just responsibilities

Nice to have

• Kafka
• AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, GitLab CI/CD
• Experience on large-scale platforms (10,000+ users)
• FinTech experience

Full-stack variant
Same backend priority as above, plus:

• React.js (required for full-stack candidates)
• General frontend experience — no fixed framework requirements beyond React

Levels

• Software Engineer I: lower end of range
• Software Engineer II: upper end — more senior scope, greater ownership expected
