| HR, HCM, Business Analyst, Workday, Payroll (2 year FTC)
Our client is a large, complex organisation in the transport sector and is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support the implementation and optimisation of Workday HCM and a separate Payroll system.
This is a business‑facing, process‑led role, ideally suited to a Business Analyst with strong HR and Payroll process knowledge and experience operating within federated or multi‑entity environments. The role focuses on requirements definition, process design, validation, and supporting delivery partners, rather than hands‑on system configuration.
Key responsibilities:
- Elicit, document, and validate HR and Payroll requirements across multiple business units
- Map end‑to‑end hire‑to‑pay processes, identifying gaps, risks, and opportunities for standardisation
- Translate business and operational needs into clear documentation for Workday delivery and integration partners
- Assess the impact of new processes on HR teams, Payroll, managers, and employees
- Support UAT activities, including test planning, scenario definition, execution support, and defect triage
- Validate payroll and workforce data outputs for accuracy, compliance, and alignment with Finance requirements
- Collaborate closely with HR, Payroll, Reward, Finance, IT, Data teams, and third‑party vendors
Experience Required:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst on HCM and/or Payroll system implementations
- Strong understanding of HR and Payroll processes and controls
- Experience working in decentralised or federated operating models
- Confident engaging with both business stakeholders and delivery partners
- Exposure to Workday HCM or Workday Payroll is desirable, but not essential
