Job Title: Head of Development Finance & Analysis – Residential Development

Location: Manchester, Hybrid (Minimum 3 Days in the Office)

We’re recruiting for a Head of Development Finance to join a forward-thinking development organisation in Manchester. This is a high-profile leadership opportunity where you’ll play a key role in shaping the financial strategy behind a significant development portfolio, working closely with executive leaders to drive commercial performance and informed decision-making.

The Role

As Head of Development Finance, you’ll provide strategic financial leadership across development activities, partnering with senior operational and finance colleagues to support major investment decisions and business growth.

You’ll be responsible for delivering insightful financial analysis, influencing key stakeholders, and ensuring robust financial oversight across the development programme.

This role offers significant exposure to executive and board-level stakeholders, making it an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance leader looking to make a real strategic impact.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate:

• Proven experience in development finance.
• Experience within a residential development, property, housebuilding or real estate environment.
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to provide strategic financial insight.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the confidence to influence executive and board-level audiences.
• Experience operating at Head of Finance, Finance Director, Senior Finance Business Partner, or a similar senior leadership level.
• Candidates looking to step up from a Finance Manager or Senior Finance Business Partner role will also be considered where they can demonstrate the leadership capability and commercial experience required.
• A professional accountancy qualification (Have taken out 2^nd sentence).
• The ability to work from the Manchester office at least three days per week.

Desirable Experience

Experience in any of the following would be advantageous:

• Affordable housing
• Residential development and housebuilding organisations
• Commercial property development
• Development finance gained within a related sector
