Simon Murphy

Simon became Deputy Chairman of PSD group in March 2015, and in October 2025 was appointed Chairman. He has had a long association with PSD which began with advising the company on its London listing in 1997.

Simon is a Chartered Accountant and former Investment Banker. He left the advisory world in 2012 when he was appointed Chief Financial Officer of the £5bn redevelopment of the Battersea Power Station site in Central London. He was appointed Deputy Chief Executive in 2014 and Chief Executive in 2018 in which role Simon oversaw the completion and opening of the Power Station as well as other key elements of the overall scheme, including the extension of the Northern Line to Battersea. He stepped down in 2024 and was awarded an OBE for services to Real Estate, Placemaking and the Community in London in the 2025 New Year Honours list.
