PE-Backed Growth Platform

This is an opportunity for a CFO who wants to shape a business, not just report on it.

You’ll be joining a UK hotel group at a defining moment — backed by new private equity investment, a clear growth strategy, and the ambition to scale over the next three to five years. The platform is in place; the next phase is about execution, value creation, and building a finance function that genuinely drives performance.

This is a hands-on, business-partnering CFO role. You’ll be close to operations, involved in decisions, and trusted to influence outcomes. If you enjoy working at pace, partnering with senior leaders, and balancing strategic thinking with practical delivery, this role offers genuine scope and visibility.

Your Impact

As CFO, you will lead the financial agenda across a multi-site hospitality group, supporting new-build projects, conversions, and significant capital investment across the estate. You’ll play a central role in strengthening systems, improving data and insight, and ensuring finance sits at the heart of operational decision-making.

You’ll work closely with the Executive Team and COO, while acting as the primary financial partner to PE backers, lenders, and advisors. This is a role for someone who brings commercial clarity, emotional intelligence, and the confidence to lead through change.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Owning financial performance, governance, reporting, and audit
  • Leading budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning, and long-term value modelling
  • Managing liquidity, cashflow, capital allocation, and debt activity
  • Building and developing a high-performing finance leadership team
  • Modernising finance systems, processes, and controls, with a focus on automation and insight
  • Partnering with technology, operations, development, and commercial teams to drive results
  • Acting as the financial interface with PE investors, lenders, and transaction partners
  • Supporting refinancing, covenant management, and future transaction readiness
  • Evaluating development and M&A opportunities and overseeing capex governance

What You’ll Bring

  • Be a Qualified Accountant ( ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Proven sector knowledge in hospitality, leisure, retail, or real estate
  • Experience operating in high-growth, multi-site and private equity-backed environments
  • Strong technical capability across reporting, forecasting, capital markets, and liquidity management
  • A track record of improving operational performance and leading transformation
  • Experience implementing or upgrading finance systems (ERP/CRM)
  • The confidence to engage credibly with investors, lenders, and senior stakeholders

This role is well suited to a CFO who wants real influence, enjoys leading teams through growth and change, and takes pride in building a finance function that enables smarter, faster decisions. You’ll be trusted, visible, and central to the business’s next chapter.
