Finance Business Analyst – 1 Year FTC
Our client is seeking a process‑driven Finance Business Analyst to support major transformation initiatives across the Finance function. This role focuses on understanding Finance processes, documenting requirements, and ensuring successful delivery from System Integration partners—rather than deep technical build. You will work closely with Finance teams to improve end‑to‑end processes and validate financial outputs.
The role is well‑suited to someone with strong finance process knowledge, FP&A exposure, and experience working on finance transformation projects in federated or decentralised environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Business Analysis for the finance transformation programme including key projects such as the migration from TM1 to Oracle Fusion and profitability tracking.
- Work closely with Finance and FP&A teams to elicit, document, and validate business requirements.
- Map end‑to‑end Finance processes, identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Translate financial process needs into clear specifications for delivery partners and integration teams.
- Produce user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation.
- Conduct detailed process impact assessments for the TM1 to Oracle Fusion migration and profitability workstream.
- Lead business analysis activity for the profitability project, including cost allocation logic, margin analysis, and performance frameworks.
- Validate system‑generated financial outputs to ensure accuracy and appropriate treatment across entities.
- Understand how finance data structures and relational models support core business processes (without requiring deep technical build).
- Work with Data and IT teams to ensure process alignment in integration flows.
- Contribute to structured change management, including documentation, training, and communication.
- Lead or support UAT—including test planning, script creation, execution, and defect resolution.
Essential Skills & Experience:

- Strong understanding of Finance processes, cost allocation, and FP&A practices
- Experience working on finance transformation or financial systems projects
- Ability to document and validate financial logic
- Experience with cost tracking and multi‑entity cost allocation
- Exposure to profitability modelling and performance reporting
- Experience planning and executing UAT for finance processes
- Experience as a Business Analyst on finance transformations
- Experience working with TM1 or Oracle Fusion (Fusion desirable but not essential)
- Experience with profitability, modelling, or cost allocation tools
- Background in federated or decentralised organisations
- Experience in the transportation, logistics, or operational services sector
This is a fixed term contract for for 1 year. The role will be based in London with ideally 4 days per week working with the programme team. Candidates will need to be available to start in the next 4 weeks. You also need to be authorised to work in the UK.
